The Grass Valley School District has a 140 year old heritage in the heart of the California Gold Country. It is widely recognized for its excellent teachers, creative approach to learning, and care for students and families.
We serve 1700 children, pre-school to eighth grade, in six schools; two preschools, two K-4 schools, one 5-8 school, and one Pre K-8 charter school.
You’ll find that the Grass Valley School District offers best-practice academic programs for all students whether they are gifted learners or need additional support to find success. Our academic programs are balanced with a full offering of fine and performing arts, a comprehensive K-8th grade technology program, and a wide array of electives and competitive sports.
We offer additional family support services such as preschool care, school readiness outreach, adult evening english classes and a wonderful no-fee after school program. For those looking for a non-traditional school program, our charter school is outstanding.
